Art by Romaine

Romaine has been drawing and painting since she was a child.  She has studied privately in New York and, more recently, here in North Carolina.  She works in oils, acrylics, scratchboard, graphite, and fiber arts.

Romaine has recently been able to devote more time to her art after completing a successful business career.  She is the recipient of several awards and a member of the Fine Arts League of Cary.

Welcome to my site, I hope you enjoy my gallery of
work!  Please check out the wide variety of media I offer.  My oil paintings, especially portraits, require precision... but I tend to loosen up with acrylics.  You'll find those to be brighter, more light-hearted, and impressionistic.   Aside from the traditional painting media, I have always been intrigued with the scratchboard and miniatures,  as it satisfies my need for small detail.  I am a life-long learner, and expect to constantly try new things... so please stop by once in a while!

I have recently rejoined the Fine Arts League of Cary after an absence of a few years due to career priorities.  I'm excited to be back!  The photo below displays my 1st prize ribbon (out of about 90 entries) at the League's Annual Member's Show at the Page-Walker House.  The winning oil painting is entitled "Thai Boy" and is for sale!

If you are interested in a purchase, commission, or you want to give some feedback, you can find my contact information below!  Comments on the site, as well as the art, are always welcome.  Enjoy!
